Asian Art in London

October 27th-November 4th

I will be visiting London to meet with clients and attend the Fall Asian Art in London events. Please send me a text or an email if you will be there! Vancouver and Toronto Heffel Asian Art Previews

October 5th-October 26th

My final Heffel sale of 2023 is now online! Feel free to stop by one of the Heffel galleries in Vancouver or Toronto to view a selection of over 130 lots curated for this Asian art auction.

​

The Toronto gallery features two Hong Kong estates including Chinese Archaic Jade Carvings from the Estate of K. S. Tom and Important Chinese Paintings from the Estate of Gloria Wong Ying-Nin. From the latter collection is a magnificent Chinese ink painting by the important early Qing Dynasty art theorist and painter Wang Hui (1632-1717).

​

Also of note in the Toronto Heffel gallery is an impressive Chinese green-enameled 'dragon jar' from the Qianlong Period (1736-1795), a group of museum-quality Yabu Meizan Satsuma wares from an old Montreal collection, and a selection of Chinese Qing Dynasty textiles.

​

In the Heffel Vancouver office is a group of Chinese amber and ivory carvings from the Kay and Francis Reif Collection, Chinese porcelain from a Hong Kong Collection, and a 1934 edition of Kawase Hasui's (1883-1957) iconic Zojo-ji Temple in Shiba.

​

I will be (mostly) in the Toronto office from October 5th to 26th. The Heffel Toronto office hours are Monday to Friday 10am-6pm, and Saturday 11am-5pm. Please stop by to say hi.

I will be visiting New York City for five days to attend the festivities which include the Asian Art previews at Bonham's, Christie's and Sotheby's. There will be numerous Asian Art themed exhibition openings including shows at Asia Society New York, The Rubin Museum, and The Metropolitan Museum of Art. Ottawa and Montreal Appraisal and Valuation Days

The Canadian National Exhibition, Toronto

August 31st 

I will be participating at the Canadian Society of Decorative Arts (CSDA) event titled 'Heirlooms & Objects: Where Treasures Tell Stories' held at the CNE on August 31st. I will be part of the expert panel, and my focus will be the identification of Asian decorative art objects. Deadline for submissions is August 18th!

Vancouver, Montreal and Toronto Heffel Asian Art Previews

April 6th-April 26th

My first sale of 2023 is now online! Feel free to stop by one of the Heffel galleries across Canada (Vancouver, Montreal and Toronto) to view over 120 lots of curated Asian art pieces I have selected for this auction.

 

In Toronto, highlights include the Gurie Collection of Chinese Art and a magnificent Chinese pale celadon jade ruyi sceptre. In Montreal, I was able to source a spectacular pair of Chinese famille rose porcelain panels by renowned artist Wang Qi (1884-1937) and a selection of Chinese 17th Century porcelain from various local collectors. Finally in Vancouver is a rare Chinese slip-deocorated dragon boat from the Daoguang Period (1821-1850) and a selection of Chinese porcelain and rare jade carvings from West Coast collectors. 

​

I will be in the Toronto offices most days from April 11th to 26th. The Heffel Toronto office hours are Monday to Friday 10am-6pm, and Saturday 11am-5pm. Please stop by to say hi!
